Who is SamGZ?

My name is Sam Gomez. I’m a first-generation Colombian-American videographer and creative, originally from Greenville, South Carolina. My roots run deep in Colombian culture, from the music and family gatherings to the food and work ethic that shaped how I see the world. Y sí, también se habla español para los hispanos que quieran trabajar conmigo!

I studied electrical engineering at the University of South Carolina (go Gamecocks!) and graduated in May 2023. In August 2024, I moved to Nashville, Tennessee with my wife to pursue new opportunities and build a creative life.

Growing up, I always had an interest in cameras but couldn’t afford the gear. I did what I could with my phone, chasing creativity with whatever was in my hands. After college, once I landed a full-time job, I finally invested in the equipment I had always dreamed about. From there, everything took off. The dream got bigger and the passion got stronger.

Today, I’m working toward running a full-time creative business centered around videography. I’m passionate about telling stories with soul, collaborating with artists, brands, and real people to turn vision into visuals that move and inspire.
